photos that feel like your wedding, not a photo shoot.

I document how your day felt like in real time. The belly laughs, the nervous hands, the chaos, the quiet. The result? A gallery with a heartbeat!

wedding photography with a heartbeat...

...by embracing the art of the unscripted moment and telling the authentic stories of your day

what couples get with me...

be present, not posed

90% candid. 10% guidance. I’ll never leave you hanging, but I won’t turn your day into a content marathon.

Bride being carried over her new husbands shoulder as she flashes her new rings

calm, guest energy

I blend in like an old friend, not hired help. I can read the room and I know when to disappear, and when to step in with simple direction that doesn’t feel cringe.

story over spectacle

Your gallery won’t be a highlight reel. It’ll be the real & curated narrative, including the personal details and in-between moments that make it yours.

your day should reflect who you are.

hev&mike-07619.jpg

Not a performance or a checklist. Not a highlight reel built for strangers.

Some stories are loud. Some are subtle whilst some are beautifully messy. All of them deserve to be seen honestly. I’m there to catch what matters while you live it, then shape it into something you’ll recognise, years later.

A wedding story that feels like an extension of you. A gallery with your beating hearts at it's centre.

I pay attention to who & what matters to you.

the way I shoot

the 20-60-20 rule...

20 - Safe

The anchors of your story. Family groups, the hug after the aisle, the traditions that matter. I work with calm hands and a quiet voice so everyone feels looked after and nothing gets missed.

60 - Creative

The heart of the day as it unfolds. Natural light on skin, layered rooms, fleeting gestures that say more than words. I tell it as it happened, true to the rhythm of your people, never forcing it to fit a mould.

20 - Bold

When instinct takes over. We follow the light, lean into movement, play on the dance floor or slip outside at night. Frames that make time pause and feelings land, the ones you return to again and again.

the result...?

a gallery with heartbeat and headline - your story, told the way it felt & happened.

His kind, friendly nature put both myself and my husband at ease, and his photography skills are beyond perfect!! His documentary style was exactly what we were looking for, capturing candid moments throughout our day. Recieving our preview photos within a few days of the wedding jusy brought so much excitement to be able to relive our wedding all over again!!
Thank you so much Freddie for capturing our special day, we couldn't be more grateful!

behind the camera...

I’m Freddie, Fredward or Fredzilla (the wife-special) and I'm North East based.

I shoot weddings like a documentarian, combining timing with a calm head and a love for creativity. I’ll blend in, connect with your people, and catch the parts you didn’t even realise were happening.

Your wedding is a story that only happens once. My job is to soak it in and capture the way it felt so you can relive it for years to come. The big scenes, yes. But also the quieter footnotes happening in the background.

I’m a photographer who approaches the day like a writer. I’m looking for meaning, connection, the deeply personal and the bits you’ll feel in your chest when you look back.
